About this file

This is an addendum to the FY 2027 Concrete Master Agreement issued by the State of Texas. The addendum provides clarification regarding the cost to remix concrete at jobsites. The document addresses a bidder question concerning pricing for remix services and specifies that remix costs apply when delivery trucks are asked to alter concrete batch specifications at the jobsite, such as adjusting slump or adding chemical additives. The remix charge does not apply to work performed by drivers to ensure the batch matches original specifications. The addendum specifies that the agency will likely request red brick color when ordering colored concrete, noting that basic colors carry one price while specialized colors such as black, blue, and green command premium pricing.

All bidders must return the signed addendum with their bids by the closing date, with all other terms and conditions of the master agreement remaining unchanged. This addendum serves as a clarification document to ensure uniform understanding among bidders regarding remix costing and color specifications for the concrete and caliche agreement.

FY 2027 Concrete Master Agreement

Addendum # 1

The following is provided as a matter of clarification for all bidders:

Q1: What do you mean when you want cost to remix? What color will you need?

basic colors are one price and colors like black, blue, and green are more expensive.

A1: The cost to remix refers to an extra charge applied when a concrete delivery truck is asked to remix or alter the concrete batch at the jobsite because we want to change the concrete specifications from what we originally ordered (i.e. increase/decrease sump, chemical additions, etc.). NOTE: this does not refer to any additional work a delivery truck driver may be asked to do to make their batch match what we originally ordered.

The color we are likely to request when ordering colored concrete is the red brick color.

Please return the addendum with your bid by the closing date. All other terms and conditions shall remain the same.
