The contract (Contract 25-003) involves the removal, hauling, and disposal of approximately 65 cubic yards of existing accumulated incinerator ash and an estimated 1,500 cubic yards of future accumulated ash, with each cubic yard weighing approximately 1.2 tons. Prospective bidders are required to schedule a site inspection up to two days before the bid opening and must visit the Wastewater Treatment Plant to familiarize themselves with site conditions. The contractor must provide daily delivery tickets documenting the quantity of ash delivered, and obtain approval letters from regulatory agencies. The Authority does not warrant the suitability of the incinerator ash for any specific application and reserves the right to reject bids based on documentation or at its sole discretion, with the ultimate goal of ensuring environmentally safe disposal in accordance with sound engineering practices.
