About this file

This is a pricing worksheet for RFP #269-2026-2001 issued by a North Carolina transit authority for Blue Line Track Reprofile and Alignment Services. The contract requires the contractor to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, planning, and documentation necessary to perform rail grinding services designed to restore rail profile, remove surface defects, improve wheel-rail interface performance, extend rail life, and reduce noise and vibration along the authority's rail network. The initial contract term is five years, with the City holding the option to renew for up to two additional consecutive one-year terms.

Pricing for rail grinding services shall be measured and paid by the shift, with payment issued based on the number of shifts in which grinding was performed in accordance with specifications. Bidders must provide all-inclusive pricing in United States dollars covering every aspect of the project as outlined in the Scope of Service, including separate line items for work shifts (per shift cost), ancillary equipment (per hour cost), and mobilization/demobilization (per event cost). The pricing worksheet allows bidders to add additional line items if additional costs associated with the services are identified, and all pricing must reflect the total costs for which the City will be responsible.
