About this file

This is a Pricing Schedule document for the Overhead Bay Door Maintenance and Services project in North Carolina, specifically for the City of Charlotte. The project involves maintenance and repair services for approximately 250 sectional, rollup, rolling steel doors, rolling and bi-fold hangar doors, rolling grills, and commercial fire doors located at police stations, fire stations, Charlotte Area Transit System facilities, Airport facilities, and cultural facilities. The contract includes occasional replacement and installation of new doors, with emergency response required within four hours of service requests. Services encompass all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for overhead door projects.

The pricing schedule requires bidders to submit all-inclusive proposals covering every aspect of the project across three contract years. Pricing must be provided in United States dollars for multiple service categories including trip charges (mobilization fees), hourly rates for Master Technicians, Technicians, and Helpers, and separate rates for two-man crews. Standard hours are defined as Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, while after-hours and emergency rates apply to all other times and situations requiring response within four hours respectively. All hourly rates must include labor, materials, equipment (owned or rented), overtime, transportation, necessary hand tools, and overhead and profit. Bidders must also provide profit and overhead markup percentages for parts and materials, new door installations, and subcontractor work, with markup calculations based solely on actual costs excluding freight, warehouse, and transfer costs. The City will reimburse contractors for required building permits.
