About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements document issued by Broward County Aviation Department for an open-end contract for the purchase and delivery of Airport Runway and Ramp Acrylic Traffic Paint. The contract serves the Aviation Department and various other Broward County agencies in Florida. No proof of insurance is required for in-store pick-up or if delivery is conducted by common carrier, though this waiver does not eliminate insurance requirements and any deviations require Risk Management approval. The certificate holder is identified as Broward County Aviation Department at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Suite 200, 320 Terminal Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.

The insurance requirements mandate General Liability coverage with Broad Form Commercial General Liability including premises-operations, explosion/collapse/underground, products/completed operations hazard, and contractual insurance. Worker's Compensation at statutory limits is required with a marking indicating this coverage is checked. Auto Liability coverage may be waived if no driving will be performed, and airside access is not permitted. Pollution/Environmental Liability is required if testing, investigating, digging, drilling, or hazardous materials activities occur on airport property, with a maximum deductible of $25,000 and a two-year extended reporting period for claims-made forms. Broward County must be listed as certificate holder and additional insured for all liability coverage except professional liability. The vendor must provide primary coverage with no contribution required from the County, provide 30 days' written notice of cancellation (10 days for non-payment), and bear all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified. Any self-insured retention must be declared to and approved by the County with proof of financial ability to meet losses.
