About this file
This is an affidavit attachment for the City of Detroit's Homelessness Solutions program, issued by the Housing and Revitalization Department in conjunction with the Office of Contracting and Procurement. The document establishes compliance requirements for all subrecipients providing services under Homelessness Solutions contracts, specifically addressing property maintenance obligations for facilities from which agencies operate. All subrecipients must adhere to the City of Detroit's Property Maintenance Code (Section 8-15) and Dangerous Building Code (Section 8-17), which govern the upkeep of both interior and exterior property conditions. The affidavit requires organizational representatives to acknowledge their commitment to maintaining code compliance and to remediate any blight violations within the timeframes specified in citation notices.
The document mandates that any organization issued a blight ticket must resolve the cited deficiency according to the timeline outlined in the ticket and pay all associated fees and fines on time. Property owners or operators who fail to maintain proper registration or obtain a Certificate of Compliance remain subject to citations from City inspectors, police officers, and other authorized City officials. The affidavit serves as a binding agreement requiring organizational signature and date attestation, with additional reference materials and blight ticket information available through the City of Detroit's municipal code library and departmental website.
