About this file

This is an Electronic Signature Implementation Agreement for the County of Bergen, New Jersey, in partnership with Bonfire e-procurement solution. The document establishes the framework for vendors to conduct official business with Bergen County and its local units through electronic forms, signatures, and filings. Authorized vendor representatives execute this agreement to create a single vendor profile that can be used across all participating local units within Bergen County, streamlining the procurement process for submitting bids, requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and other offers. The electronic signature affixed to this form serves as the official signature for all procurement documents and bid acceptances submitted to the participating local units. The signature remains valid for a one-year term from the date of execution.

The agreement is predicated on compliance with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act) of 2000 and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), which authorize state and local government agencies in New Jersey to conduct official business through electronic means. The document requires that the signatory be an authorized individual with the legal authority to bind the vendor in conducting business with Bergen County. All participating parties must affirmatively consent to conduct business electronically and understand that electronic records created through this process maintain business, legal, and potential historical value and must be retained accordingly.
