About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for preventive maintenance and repair services of motor equipment, low speed electric vehicles, and trailers at three NREL campus locations: South Table Mountain, Flatirons Campus, and South Table Mountain Energy Park in Colorado. The contract will be managed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), which is owned by the Department of Energy and operated by The Alliance for Sustainable Energy.
The SOW requires the subcontractor to perform annual preventive maintenance including engine oil/filter replacement, hydraulic oil/filter replacement, chassis lubrication, and equipment inspection reports. As-needed repair services must also be provided, with 24-hour response time to acknowledge requests and 5-day completion timelines for both quotes and repairs. Technicians must have minimum 10 years of heavy equipment experience. Work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm except holidays. The subcontractor must comply with NREL safety requirements, provide proper PPE, and attend safety orientation. Inspection reports are required within 3 business days, and the subcontractor must use original manufacturer parts unless supply chain delays necessitate third-party parts with NREL approval. The contract includes contingency funding that requires notification when repairs reach 85% of the allocated amount.
