About this file

This is a Domestic Partnership Act Certification form for Broward County, Florida, applicable to the Pool Resurfacing project at Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park's Castaway Island Water Park. The fixed-price contract involves pool resurfacing services for the Parks and Recreation Division at the facility located at 3300 N Park Rd, Hollywood, FL 33021. Vendors must submit their solicitation responses electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time and are required to receive a Submission Receipt. The County requires all submittals to comply with county and state licensing and bonding requirements. Vendors must submit the completed Domestic Partnership Act Certification form either with their initial submittal or within three business days of the County's request to avoid being deemed nonresponsive.

For contracts exceeding $100,000, vendors must certify their compliance status regarding Broward County's Domestic Partnership Act requirements, which mandate that benefits provided to registered domestic partners of employees match those provided to employees' spouses. Vendors must select one of four certification options: current compliance, commitment to comply at contract award, non-compliance, or qualification for an exception based on factors such as employing fewer than five employees, not providing spousal benefits, being a governmental or religious entity, or having federal or state law constraints. Failure to submit the certification by the stated deadline may result in vendor nonresponsiveness or ineligibility for the Domestic Partnership tiebreaker. The form was last updated on September 9, 2024.
