7 During the walkthrough the Mumford theater was used as somewhat of an example of what you are looking for in this space. The Mumford

Theater has an outboard audio mixer for controlling the microphones and other audio feeds. Is this what you are looking for in the

Pickford Theater as well or will control of all audio sources on the Touch panel be sufficient?

No audio mixer will be required for the

Pickford Theater. Control for all audio sources via the touch panels is sufficient.

8 It was mentioned in the walkthrough that the projectionist needs to be able to hear the audio in the projection booth. Currently that is not listed as part of this RFP. Does this need to be added, and if so do we need to replace the current speakers in the projection booth as well?

A dedicated microphone for this purpose is not necessary, the lectern microphone can serve this purpose. Offeror can decide to replace or reuse the current speakers in the projection booth.

9 The RFP lists several Video Sources (VCR, Laser Disk, Media PC, etc.) and lists the projectors as destinations however it does not mention anything about the video switching and

Digital Video projector input signal will be managed by the Q-SYS control system. A traditional video production switcher is not required.

processing. Is this to be replaced as well or are we to use the existing? If we are to use the existing can you provide us with a list of this existing equipment?

10 The lectern in the Mumford Theater that was shown as an example of what you are looking for, are you able to provide us with a manufacturer and model number of that lectern?

There is not a model number for the lectern; it was custom fabricated.

11 Please specify the size of the hole for the ceiling speakers.

The cutout is 8 ¼ “in.

12 Please specify the amount of space between the ceiling and the slab above it.

In the rear of the theater (in front of the booth): 14 ½ “ in. From the top of the drop ceiling, space is reduced to 10 ½” in.

In the front of the theater (in front of the screen): 18” in. From the top of the drop ceiling, space is reduced to 14” in.

13 Please specify the weight load allowed per speaker.

Current speakers weigh less than 5 pounds

14 Please specify if the AOC has any requirements for cable management in the ceiling.

The AOC requires cables to be installed in raceways in compliance with the National

Electrical Code (NEC).

15 Please specify the installation location of the theatrical grade speakers for stage left, right and center.

These will be located behind the screen, replacing the existing left, right and center speakers.

16 In section C.3.13.A the lectern is specified to be placed above a floor box that will provide connection to house power, audio, and control system. In that same section it mentions an input/output panel in the lectern to include a

BNC port for the SDI video output of the laptop. There is no mention of what that SDI video will connect to or what resolution and video standard it is designed to provide?

The purpose of the HD-SDI video output on the lectern is to feed the signal from the laptop docking station, to an external broadcast device.
