Attachment J-10 - 7th Sense Media Player Native Formats.pdf

Attachment J-10 is a technical document detailing native movie playback formats for the 7th Sense Delta Media Server. The document specifies preferred media formats that can be natively played without conversion, including TGA, YUV, A7S, DPX, CIN, SGI, STH, and 7TH formats. Key technical requirements include:

For TGA movie sequences, files must be placed in a single folder within the Movies directory, named with a constant 4-12 digit number (e.g., my_movie_000008.tga), with the frame number as the last set of characters before the extension. Stereo media content must be provided in separate folders for left and right eyes. The horizontal resolution must be divisible by 4 for maximum performance. DPX formats are supported in various bit depths (8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit) with full support for little- and big-endian configurations. Strict filename conventions are outlined, including reserved characters to avoid and recommended naming practices. Additional technical requirements include using a Windows-formatted USB drive, maintaining a filename path structure under 250 characters, and storing movies on the server's E drive while other media is stored on the C drive.
