Build contact groups from saved searches
Use a saved Contacts search to add new matching contacts to a contact group over time.
Start from Contacts, save the Contacts search you want to reuse, then open Contact Groups to link the saved search to a group.
Contact group sync is available on Growth, Growth Plus, and Scale.
When to use this
Use this workflow when a Contacts search represents a reusable audience, market segment, buyer list, partner list, or review queue that should keep growing as GovTribe finds new matching contacts.
The linked saved search adds matching contacts to the group over time. It does not turn the group into a live filter, and it does not remove existing group contacts just because they stop matching the saved search.
Create and save the contact search
Open Contacts. Go to Contacts and search for the people you want the group to track.
Narrow the result set. Add filters that describe the contact segment you want to reuse, such as role, organization, source context, tags, or group membership.
Save the search. Click Save This Search, name the saved search, and choose whether you want saved-search email alerts.
Only saved searches for Contacts are available in the Contact Group sync drawer. If the saved search does not appear when you link a group, confirm that it was saved from Contacts.
Link the saved search to a contact group
Open Contact Groups. Go to Contact Groups, then open the group you want to keep updated.
Open Sync. Click Sync on the contact group detail page.
Choose the saved Contacts search. Select the saved search that should feed the group, then link it.
After the link is saved, the sync drawer shows the linked saved search, the current contact count for that search, sync history, the option to unlink the saved search, and Sync Now.
Sync contacts
Click Sync Now when you want GovTribe to add current matching contacts from the saved search to the group. GovTribe also runs linked contact-group sync on a daily schedule.
Sync adds matching contacts to the group. It does not remove contacts that were already in the group, even if those contacts no longer match the saved search.
Review or change the link
Open Sync from the contact group detail page to review the linked saved search, current contact count, and sync history.
Use Unlink Saved Search when the saved search should stop feeding the group. Unlinking stops future additions from that saved search and clears the link and sync context for the group. It does not delete the group or remove contacts already in the group.
