OnFrontiers
Use OnFrontiers expert recommendations in GovTribe to find outside specialists for federal opportunities and pursuits.
GovTribe shows OnFrontiers expert recommendations in supported federal opportunity and pursuit workflows, so your team can move from record research to outside expertise without starting a separate search from scratch.
Use this page to understand where recommendations appear, how to choose the kind of expert you need, and what happens when you continue to OnFrontiers.
Where recommendations appear
You can find OnFrontiers recommendations in these GovTribe pages:
| GovTribe page | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Federal contract opportunities | The opportunity overview page |
| Federal grant opportunities | The opportunity overview page |
| Pursuits | The OnFrontiers tab on the pursuit |
Find and review experts
- Open a supported federal opportunity or pursuit.
- Find the OnFrontiers recommendations panel or tab.
- Review the recommended experts, headlines, match reasons, and alignment indicators.
- Change the role selector if you need a different kind of expert.
- Select
Connectwhen you want to continue with an expert.
The Connect button opens the expert's OnFrontiers profile in a new browser tab. Booking a call, requesting an introduction, or continuing the engagement happens in OnFrontiers, not directly inside GovTribe.
Choose an expert role
The role selector changes the kind of expert GovTribe asks OnFrontiers to recommend. Start with the role that best matches the question your team is trying to answer.
| Role | Use when you need... |
|---|---|
| Customer/Mission Expert | Mission, agency, command, or stakeholder context that can shape your approach. |
| Acquisition/Contracting Expert | Contracting, source selection, vehicle, compliance, or acquisition strategy guidance. |
| Program/Incumbent Expert | Practical insight into a program, incumbent environment, transition risk, or delivery context. |
| Technical/Functional SME | Deep subject-matter expertise for the technical, operational, or functional scope of the work. |
| Competition Intelligence Expert | Perspective on likely competitors, teaming patterns, pricing posture, or market positioning. |
| Capture Manager | Help shaping win themes, customer engagement, teaming strategy, and pursuit decisions. |
| Proposal Manager | Help planning, organizing, and managing the proposal response process. |
| General Expert | Broader expert recommendations when your need does not fit one of the other roles. |
If the first set of recommendations does not match what you need, choose a different role and review the updated recommendations. For example, switch from Customer/Mission Expert to Technical/Functional SME when you move from customer context to solution validation.
If no experts appear
Recommendations depend on the context GovTribe can provide for the record. Some records may not have enough summary or linked federal context to return expert matches.
For pursuits, OnFrontiers matching is currently intended for federal contract and federal grant work. State and local-only pursuits are not currently matched.
