Review a contact

Contact examples

Open a contact when you need to review identity, organization, communication fields, workspace labels, source context, activity, similar contacts, or related market records behind one person or office contact. Some contact profile sections depend on the indexed source context and your account's Beacon access.

Identity, organization, and communication fields

The Contact detail header shows the contact name and last active date when available. The Overview area can show organization, contact type, job title, email, phone, role, seniority, LinkedIn, and other identity or communication fields. Blank fields mean GovTribe has not indexed that value for the contact or cannot show it from the connected source context.

Tags, groups, and Seen As context

Contact details show workspace tags and contact groups when the contact has them in your workspace. The Seen As area explains how GovTribe has observed the contact, such as a point of contact, file reference, or another contact-reference role. Use Seen As when you need to understand why a contact is connected to a record family or source context.

Activity, similar contacts, and contact intelligence

The Activity view shows tracked contact activity and source references when GovTribe has them. The Overview area can also show Similar Contacts. Intent, Buying Profile, gated asset, and AI-assisted contact intelligence sections can be hidden, disabled, or unavailable when your account lacks the needed Beacon access or when GovTribe has not generated that context for the selected contact.

Activity

Intent

Intent shows Beacon intent profile and topic context when your account includes the feature and the contact has intent data. The tab can be hidden or disabled when that context is unavailable.

Buying Profile

Buying Profile shows AI-generated buying-profile context when your account includes the feature and the contact has a generated profile. The tab can show Not Available while GovTribe is still generating data or when no buying profile exists.

Common questions

For general fixes for too many results, no results, unrelated results, broad Semantic Search matches, or filters that narrowed the result set too much, see Troubleshoot search results.

Where do contact records come from?

Contact data type records are based on contact details attached to GovTribe records and source documents. Contacts can be connected to opportunities, awards, files, agencies, vendors, and other market records depending on the source context GovTribe has indexed.

What does Seen As mean?

Seen As shows how GovTribe has seen or connected the contact, such as a point of contact, file reference, or another contact-reference role. Use the Seen As filter when you want contacts connected to a specific kind of source context.

Why are some communication or profile fields blank?

GovTribe can only show communication and profile fields that are present or connected in the indexed source context. Some contacts include email, phone, LinkedIn, seniority, role, and buying-profile context; others only include a smaller set of fields.

How should I use Tags and Groups?

Use Tags for flexible workspace labels, such as review status or market segment. Use Groups when you want a reusable list of contacts for repeat research, outreach, or saved-search sync workflows.

Why are some contact intelligence tabs hidden, disabled, or unavailable?

Beacon intelligence tabs depend on your account permissions and the generated data available for the selected contact. If your account does not include the feature, the tab can be hidden or redirect to a feature page. If GovTribe has not generated the contact context, the tab can be disabled or show that the information is unavailable.
