NIGP 49325: Entomological Equipment and Accessories (Insect Science)

NIGP 49325 Entomological Equipment and Accessories (Insect Science) is an Item code under which state and local governments procure science supplies, laboratory equipment, and educational materials for K–12 classroom instruction and public health operations. Recent opportunities show school districts buying packaged science supplies catalogs with entomological and broader life-sciences components alongside other lab equipment, and public health agencies acquiring lab information management systems that support specimen workflows. The issuing-body mix reflects primary activity from independent school districts in Texas seeking catalog-bid arrangements and multi-vendor awards for flexible procurement, supplemented by county public health departments acquiring specialized systems.

Texas school districts dominate recent activity: Klein ISD (Harris County) posted an RFP in April 2026 for Career Technical Education and Advanced Academics instructional resources across 17 CTE program areas including agricultural science, with delivery and support services due by June 5, 2026; Donna ISD (Cameron County) issued an RFP in March 2026 for a Science Supplies Catalog Bid with discount proposals off published catalog pricing for the 2026–2027 school year, closing April 8, 2026. Santa Clara County (California) posted a Request for Information in April 2026 for a Public Health Lab Information Management System Replacement supporting full public health lab workflows, with a fifteen-day response window closing April 22, 2026. Contract structures are typically firm fixed-price with multi-year terms and optional renewals; school districts reserve the right to award to multiple vendors and make no guarantee of minimum purchase volumes.
