This Contract calls for contractor support relating to certain activities in the Rehabilitation Medical Department. The Biomechanics Laboratory at the National Institutes of Health is located in the world's largest clinical research facility - the Hatfield Clinical Research Center. This laboratory has an outstanding history of technology development, translational research, and clinical applications in the field of human movement analysis for rehabilitation research and patient care. The Biomechanics Laboratory has developed the infrastructure to support a significantly expanded research mission that requires ongoing support for extensive human subject testing. The staff and collaborating scientists execute independent research initiatives. The primary goal of these activities is to accurately predict the effects of disease and rehabilitation treatment on an individuals ability to perform functional movement tasks. The activities involved are technically and administratively intensive, requiring a substantially broad knowledge of kinesiology, computer-based human movement analysis procedures, and administrative support processes. The contractual Staff Clinician will enhance our current team of engineers, therapists, post docs and investigators by creating a flourishing environment for the expansion of the clinical aspects of rehabilitation research. This requirement is under the applicable NAICS code, 622310. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Added: Feb 10, 2010 3:16 pm The Department of Veterans Affairs, Manchester, NH seeks to contract services to be provided on site as part of the Polytrauma care for veterans on a weekly as needed basis. Polytrauma care is for veterans and returning service members with injuries to more than one physical region or organ system, one of which may be life teatening, and which results in physical, cognitive, psychological, or psychosocial impairments and functional disability. Our goal is to provide patients individually tailored rehabilitation plans to help our veterans or returning services members regain the quality of life they had prior to service. We are specifically looking for a service provider or organization to provide specialized onsite Physiatry, Neurology, and Neuropsychiatric services, with an additional component to include off-site comprehensive pain assessment, treatment and management programs within a reasonable distance from our Manchester, NH facility. This solicitation will be unrestricted full and open competition. The contract will include one base year and tee option years dependent upon need, quality assessments, and annual funding.
