About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Transportation issued a solicitation for work zone temporary traffic control devices (Solicitation 48400-DOT0002293) with a proposal due date of August 19, 2021. Eligibility is restricted to suppliers on GDOT's Qualified Products Lists (#34 Work Zone Traffic Control Devices, #69 Flexible Delineator Post, and #29 Reflective Sheeting); products must be manufactured by QPL-listed suppliers and meet GDOT specification requirements.
The scope encompasses rail stripe tape, drums, barricades, vertical panels, portable sign systems, direction indicator barricades, traffic cones, flexible delineator posts, and ancillary traffic control products. Suppliers previously tested and approved on the QPL do not need to submit samples unless GDOT requests them to verify continued compliance; new suppliers must apply for QPL listing through the Office of Materials and Research (404-608-4810).
Four offerors were awarded as successful suppliers: Transafe Inc, Safety Products Inc, Korman Signs, and Jace Chandler & Associates, each receiving an estimated contract amount of $80,000. These are open agency contracts with estimated amounts, meaning actual award amounts are subject to usage and demand. One offeror, TX4 DBA Crowd Control Store, was unsuccessful due to being non-responsive. Protests must be submitted electronically to doas.protest@doas.ga.gov. The issuing officer is Brandee Q. Williams (bqwilliams@dot.ga.gov).
