About this opportunity

The Technical College System of Georgia on behalf of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College issued an eRFQ for water cooler and fountain replacement across three campus locations with a bid due date of November 19, 2021; however, this solicitation was cancelled on December 30, 2021 due to the need to redevelop requirements, and no materials submitted will be considered for award.

The scope required removal and replacement of approximately 34 bi-level and 27 single water coolers and fountains at the Valdosta, Fitzgerald, and Douglas campuses with new Murdock coolers and fountains featuring bottle fillers or comparable brand and models meeting or exceeding bid specifications. All installations must comply with current electric, plumbing, building codes, and ADA Accessibility standards. The contractor was responsible for providing all labor and materials necessary for the project.

This was a one-time purchase contract with a single qualified contractor and no renewal options. Two addenda were issued during the solicitation period — Addendum One on October 28, 2021 and Addendum Two on November 12, 2021 — extending the original closing date from November 5 to November 19, 2021.

Attendance at mandatory prebid conference and site visits was required for all bidders. The prebid conference was held November 2, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. EST at Valdosta Campus (Morris Hall Auditorium, Building 700). Site visits followed on November 8, 2021 at Ben Hill-Irwin Campus in Fitzgerald and the Coffee County Campus in Douglas. The project question deadline was November 12, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., with the final addendum posting by November 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. All bidders were required to submit documents electronically through Team Georgia Marketplace, including Bid Proposal Certification Form, Reference Form, Contractor E-Verify Affidavit, and Tax Compliance Form. Bidders who failed to participate in the mandatory prebid conference and site visits were subject to bid rejection. Octavia Thorpe, TCSG Procurement Officer (othorpe@tcsg.edu, 404-679-1754), handled all communications regarding scope clarifications and substitution requests.
