About this opportunity

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) is seeking bids for network cabling installation services through a competitive Request for Bid (RFB) process, targeting comprehensive network infrastructure solutions for local and wide area networks. The procurement covers both new and existing network cabling installations, encompassing outside aerial and underground cables, interior riser and distribution cabling, and various low-voltage signaling cable types including copper twisted pair, coaxial, and fiber-optic cables. Vendors must submit bids electronically through the ShowUW+ Supplier Portal by the due date of May 24, 2024, with the solicitation available on the SciQuest bidding platform. While UWL does not guarantee a specific purchase quantity or minimum contract value, the contract will be open for use by state agencies and other UW campuses. The university reserves the right to amend the contract if network cabling standards or technologies change during the contract term, allowing for potential pricing adjustments and technology updates.

The solicitation appears open to all qualified vendors without specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions. Bidders must be registered vendors/suppliers in the ShopUW+ system and demonstrate technical capabilities for comprehensive network cabling installation across various environments. The contract is not exclusive, meaning multiple vendors could potentially be awarded or perform similar services. No specific budget range or award value was explicitly stated in the procurement documentation. Interested suppliers are encouraged to review the full RFB details on the provided link and familiarize themselves with the University of Wisconsin System's supplier resources. The procurement approach suggests flexibility, with the university seeking competitive pricing and technical expertise in network infrastructure cabling solutions without committing to predetermined purchase volumes.
