About this opportunity
The Town of Greenwich Purchasing Department is requesting bids for traffic control signs and materials under RFB #7965, with bids due August 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Bidders must be prequalified and located within a 40-mile radius of Greenwich, with demonstrated capacity to respond to emergency deliveries within 24 hours.
The scope covers 385 line items including regulatory signs, warning signs, parking and no-parking signs, guide signs, school signs, object markers, construction signs, and reflective sheeting materials in multiple reflective types (Prismatic Engineering Grade, High Intensity, and VIP Diamond Grade) and sizes, all compliant with the 2009 Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Unit prices must remain firm throughout the contract term. All materials must be guaranteed free from defects and comply with manufacturer specifications; the vendor is responsible for repair, correction, or replacement of non-conforming materials at no cost to the Town.
The initial contract term is one year with four optional one-year renewal periods at mutual consent. All unit prices—inclusive of shipping, delivery, installation, labor, insurance, and related expenses—must be delivered FOB Greenwich, freight prepaid and allowed. The Town is exempt from federal and state taxes; bidders must exclude taxes from pricing. Payment terms are net 30 days following receipt of invoice and acceptance of products.
The awardee must provide technical assistance services including on-site training at the Town's sign fabrication shop, with qualified technician availability within 48 hours for routine service and 24 hours for emergency assessment. Bids must remain valid for a minimum of 90 days from submission. The Town is not accepting electronic bids; physical delivery to 101 Field Point Road, Greenwich, CT 06830 is required. No prebid conference is scheduled. Contact Anthony Guardi at 203-622-2251 or Anthony.Guardi@greenwichct.gov with inquiries.
