About this opportunity

The Town of Farragut, located in Knox County, Tennessee, is seeking qualified contractors to install 24 Signal Tech Illuminated Street Signs at seven designated intersections during the first phase of the project. The procurement is structured as an Invitation to Bid (ITB) #2026-17, with the primary objective of upgrading street signage at key intersections along Kingston Pike and Campbell Station Road. The Town will supply all street signs and mounting hardware, while the contractor is responsible for installation labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and ancillary materials. Bidders must submit pricing on a per-sign-installed basis and provide proof of Tennessee contractor licenses, insurance, and references for similar past work. Key deadlines include a bid submission deadline of November 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with work to be completed by June 30, 2026. Liquidated damages of $250 per workday will be assessed for delays beyond the completion date. All communications must be directed exclusively to Anissa Pratte, Staff Accountant, at apratte@townoffarragut.org, with any contact with other Town personnel potentially resulting in bid disqualification.

The solicitation does not explicitly mention set-aside designations or specific restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Stansell Electric Company, Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee, has been selected as the contractor for this project. The illuminated street signs are Signal-Tech Model WM-SNS wall-mounted signs, measuring 6 inches in height by 3 inches in width, constructed of structural aluminum, and weighing approximately 13.879 pounds. Contractors must perform a minimum of 50 percent of the total work with their own organization and provide a detailed listing of any subcontractors. The project requires comprehensive insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), Workers' Compensation, and Umbrella/Excess Liability ($1,000,000). Additional mandatory requirements include various certifications such as Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and compliance with federal immigration laws. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the per-sign installation pricing and project scope suggest a moderate-sized municipal infrastructure improvement project.
