About this opportunity
Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) in Adrian, Michigan is requesting proposals for one new tilting braising skillet for its TECH Center Culinary Arts programs, with proposals due October 30, 2026 by 11:00 a.m. EST. LISD has implemented a Michigan-based business preference that reduces qualifying Michigan-based business bids by the lesser of 5 percent or $10,000 for award determination purposes only.
The required equipment must be equivalent to a Vulcan VG40 Modular Gas Tilting Braising Pan with 40-gallon capacity, 120,000 BTU/hr gas input, manual tilting mechanism, solid-state temperature controls adjustable from 50°F to 425°F, and standard dimensions of 46 inches wide by 35.5 inches deep by 40.5 inches high. Respondents may propose alternative brands provided they demonstrate equivalency to specifications and may separately price optional equipment. Proposals must include detailed specification sheets, warranty information, installation timelines, and personnel qualifications.
Delivery is F.O.B. the LISD TECH Center at 1372 North Main Street, Adrian, Michigan, with vendors responsible for all destination costs including shipping and installation. Pricing must remain effective for at least 90 days from bid receipt. LISD is exempt from sales and service taxes and respondents must not include such taxes in proposal figures. Manufacturer warranties must be transferable to LISD and transferred at delivery and installation.
Respondents must submit completed LISD proposal forms including Michigan-based business certification, familial disclosure statements, Iran Economic Sanctions Act compliance certification, suspended or debarred vendor certification, and conflict of interest forms via email to Linda Jones, Purchasing Director, at Linda.Jones@lisd.us with subject line "Tilting Braising Skillet." LISD reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept partial bids, waive informalities, and separate awards among multiple respondents.
