About this opportunity
The Nevada Division of State Parks is requesting proposals for on-call maintenance services at Southern Region Parks throughout Clark County under a four-year term, with proposals due September 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Nevada-based businesses are eligible for a 5% preference under NRS 333.3351 to 333.3356.
The scope covers emergency and non-emergency general building restoration and repair, plumbing and sewer services, electrical and lighting services, HVAC services, interior and exterior remodeling, key and lock services, trenching and excavation, paving and roadwork, confined space entry, fire protection system services, and well drilling and rehabilitation work. The successful vendor must hold a valid Nevada Board of Contractors license in good standing and be capable of employing licensed subcontractors for specialized work outside their primary expertise. All work requires advance quotation and an Encumbrance Document from State Parks before commencing. The contract does not guarantee minimum orders or compensation.
Submission requires a separate technical proposal and cost proposal through nevadaepro.com, including background and history, current or former State employee disclosures, subcontractor listings with qualifications and supervision plans, Dun and Bradstreet numbers, the last two full years and current-year interim financial statements, and disclosures of contract failures, litigation, or conflicts of interest. The cost schedule template requires pricing for electricians, plumbers, locksmiths, and equipment operators across standard, overtime, and weekend/holiday rate tiers; confined space work; backhoe rental and mobilization; and subcontractor and materials markups.
Evaluation is weighted as Demonstrated Experience (40%), Expertise and Availability (30%), Conformance with RFP Terms (20%), and Cost Factor (10%). Questions are due August 19, 2026, with answers posted by August 26. The State estimates a Notice of Intent for September 16 and Notice of Award for September 23, 2026. The contract requires commercial general liability insurance with $2,000,000 general aggregate and $1,000,000 per-occurrence limits; automobile liability at $1,000,000 combined single limit; and workers' compensation meeting statutory requirements with a waiver of subrogation. The point of contact is Emily Larsen at e.larsen@parks.nv.gov or 775-684-2779.
