About this opportunity

The Town of Fairfield, Connecticut, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking competitive bids for a comprehensive sports performance and athletic training services concession at the Recreation Center Facility located at 210 Old Dam Road. The solicitation (No. 2023-32) invites experienced operators to provide sports performance and athletic training services, with additional programming opportunities including birthday parties, movie nights, and sports events. The successful concessionaire will be granted year-round access to the indoor facility and use of grass fields at the South Pine Creek complex, which includes a parking lot with street parking that must be shared with the adjoining Fairfield Indoor Tennis facility and Carl Dickman Par 3 Golf Course during business hours. The procurement process was initiated on September 22, 2022, with proposals due by October 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM EDT, and included a vendor Q&A period running from September 22 to October 7, 2022. While specific evaluation criteria were not explicitly detailed in the documentation, the RFP emphasizes the need for experienced operators capable of delivering comprehensive sports and recreational programming.

The solicitation does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. No incumbent vendor information was provided, and the documents do not specify any existing infrastructure integration requirements. Similarly, the RFP does not outline a specific award value or budget range for the contract. The opportunity appears to be open to all vendors, with delivery terms specified as Free On Board Destination and payment terms to be specified by the vendor. The facility itself offers a unique operational environment, with year-round indoor facilities and seasonal grass fields, and shared parking arrangements with an adjacent tennis facility and golf course. Contact for questions regarding the solicitation is Lee Flaherty at the Town of Fairfield, though no specific contract duration or renewal options were explicitly stated in the provided documentation.
