About this opportunity
West Virginia Office of Shared Administration Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Department of Health Facilities at William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital, is requesting quotes for a shower remodel involving the supply, installation, and delivery of 80 seamless wall shower units, with bids due July 21, 2026 at 10:30 AM EST and a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 14, 2026 at 10:30 AM EST.
The scope comprises one-piece seamless extruded acrylic wall surrounds, each custom-made to fit specific units with laser precision measurement at nominal 7.5 feet by 11 feet. Units must be white, installed with specified adhesive products (ADH-049 cleaner, T1085BL Butyl High Tack Construction Tape, MasterSeal NP-1 white adhesive, AHD-140 sealant), and include wrapping around existing fixture plates, pop rivets for additional security, and removal and reinstallation of security bars in 13 handicap shower units. All labor and materials carry a minimum five-year warranty. Delivery is F.O.B. destination, within 30 calendar days of purchase order receipt, to William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital at 936 Sharpe Hospital Road, Weston, West Virginia. Vendors bear all travel, mileage, and risk of loss costs. The hospital will award the contract to the vendor submitting the lowest grand total cost meeting all specifications; split awards are not permitted.
Vendors must submit a notarized Purchasing Affidavit certifying compliance with West Virginia debt and employer default requirements, a notarized Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit under West Virginia Code 21-1D-5, a bid bond of at least 5 percent of total bid value, a 100 percent performance bond, and a 100 percent labor and material payment bond. A valid West Virginia Contractor's License is required prior to award. Commercial General Liability and Automobile Liability Insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence are mandatory, naming the State as additional insured. Pricing must remain firm for the life of the contract. The contract may be funded in whole or in part with federal funds, subjecting it to federal compliance requirements under 2 C.F.R. 200.317–200.327, including Davis-Bacon wage rates, domestic preference standards, and debarment checks. Technical questions are due July 16, 2026 at 10:30 AM EST.
