About this opportunity
Uintah County, Utah is soliciting sealed bids under IFB UC26-15 for two Scale Computing hyper-converged infrastructure nodes, or Scale Hypercore-certified equivalents, with proposals due 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on November 13, 2026. The Pricing Bid Form and Vendor Information Form are mandatory, and failure to demonstrate compliance with all mandatory minimum requirements results in a non-responsive bid. The County requires a single, comprehensive quote, and the underlying hardware must be officially Scale Hypercore Certified. The listing's due date field shows November 14, 2026, which conflicts with the IFB's November 13 deadline.
The scope combines two hyper-converged server nodes with five-year, 24x7x365 OEM hardware warranties from a certified OEM such as Supermicro, Dell, or Lenovo, five-year, 24x7x365 Scale software support, remote imaging service, and professional installation services. Hardware must meet or exceed Scale Computing HC5450D specifications, covering dual Intel Xeon Gold processors, 256 GB RAM, 77.76 TB raw storage configured with NVMe SSDs and NL SAS HDDs, and redundant 10/25 GbE networking. The contract term is five years.
Pricing must be entered by line item on the mandatory Pricing Bid Form and exclude sales tax, as the County is tax-exempt. If a turnkey Scale appliance is proposed, the combined support cost goes on the Scale Software Support line with $0.00 on the OEM Hardware Warranty line. Certified OEM hardware requires separate warranty and software support pricing.
Sealed bids will be publicly opened November 18, 2026, during the Uintah County Commission Work Session. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and has stated there is no implicit or explicit guarantee the project will proceed. The notice was posted November 4, 2026.
