About this opportunity

Broward County's Water and Wastewater Engineering Division is conducting a competitive solicitation for the purchase of a Skadi Gold RTK GNSS Receiver, seeking a new, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) device for precise field data collection and asset mapping. The procurement involves a fixed contract for a comprehensive GNSS system with specific technical requirements, including Skadi Tilt Compensation, Smart Handle, compatible tablet and range pole mounts, and associated accessories. Qualified bidders must be either the manufacturer or an authorized reseller/distributor, with the equipment required to support advanced RTK capabilities, high accuracy positioning, multiple GNSS constellation support, and Esri platform integration. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the BPRO (Bonfire) platform, with all responses due by November 12, 2025, and vendors encouraged to submit questions through the platform by the designated questions due date. Evaluation will focus on responsiveness, technical specifications compliance, vendor qualifications, and total bid price, with the county reserving the right to award based on the most advantageous proposal.

No specific small business enterprise (SBE) or community business enterprise (CBE) goals are applicable to this solicitation, and there are no restrictions limiting participation to disadvantaged enterprises. The county reserves the right to order up to an additional 20% of specified quantities within one year of award at the same pricing and terms. Vendors must provide comprehensive documentation including an Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit, Litigation History, Vendor Questionnaire, and comply with specific insurance requirements, including minimum liability coverage of $500,000 for general and auto liability. The contract includes a 24-month warranty for the GNSS receiver and 90-day warranty for battery packs, with delivery expected within 15 business days of purchase order issuance. Delivery will be FOB Destination to the Broward County Water and Wastewater Engineering Division in Pompano Beach, FL, with specific delivery hours restricted to Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, excluding holidays. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the procurement appears focused on acquiring a high-precision technical instrument for municipal engineering applications.
