About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide on-call annual pump maintenance services for the Public Utilities Department. The contractor(s) will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repair, and emergency services on an estimated 500 pumps across 100 locations, including centrifugal, submersible, positive displacement, and vertical turbine models. The contract will commence upon receipt of the written notice to proceed and have an initial term of one year, with four optional one-year renewal periods. Proposals are due by February 29, 2024, with a mandatory pre-proposal conference scheduled for February 1, 2024. The evaluation criteria will assess the vendor's qualifications, experience, and pricing, including hourly labor rates, material cost markups, and unit pricing for common pump repair services.
Paragraph 2:
The Unified Government has set aside 15% of the contract value for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation. The incumbent provider is ABC Pump Services, who has held the contract for the past 5 years. The project is funded through the agency's annual operating budget, with an estimated annual value of $1.2 million. The Unified Government reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to award the contract to multiple firms to ensure authorized repairs can be made across their full pump inventory.
