About this opportunity
Jones County School System in Gray, Georgia is soliciting quotes under RFQ #27-22 for 80 HP Fortis G1m 11.6-inch rugged touchscreen Chromebooks and 80 Google Chrome OS Education Management Console licenses, with written questions due November 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. and proposals due November 7, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. through the Georgia Procurement Registry (the posting header lists November 6). No set-asides are required. In cases of tie bids, awards go first to in-county suppliers, then in-state suppliers, then suppliers offering products made in Georgia. The district also states it intends to provide maximum practicable opportunities to small businesses, minority firms, women's enterprises, and labor surplus area firms.
Chromebook specifications include an HD display, 60Hz refresh rate, octa-core processor, 4GB memory, 128GB flash storage, English keyboard, and jet black finish. Proposed products must meet or exceed these requirements, and bidders must confirm compliance. Pricing must be submitted as separate line items for devices and licenses, with unit and extended prices, freight or shipping charges, delivery timelines, warranty terms, and a total project cost. Delivery and installation are priced FOB Destination to specified locations. Technical and cost proposals must be submitted as separate documents.
Evaluation weights cost at 60 percent and quality of solution at 40 percent, with mandatory requirements scored pass/fail. The district will identify the most competitive cost proposal using lowest cost, lowest total cost, total cost of ownership, or greatest savings methodology. Pricing must remain firm for one year from award, and responses must remain valid for 90 days from the final closing date. Bidders must carry Commercial General Liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate, Workers Compensation at statutory Georgia limits, and Automobile Liability of $1 million combined single limit.
Submitted with the bid are a certificate of non-collusion, district certification form, W-9, and Georgia Tax Compliance Form. The Georgia Department of Revenue verifies each supplier against prohibited-source status and outstanding tax liabilities, and no prohibited source may receive an award. Bidders must also submit notarized Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance affidavits, confirm E-Verify or an equivalent federal work authorization program, and deliver affidavits within five business days of receipt. Late responses or responses submitted outside the Georgia Procurement Registry will not be considered.
Proposal evaluation is scheduled for completion on or about November 8, 2026, with a Notice of Intent to Award and Notice of Award scheduled for the week of November 9, 2026. No pre-bid meeting is required.
