About this opportunity

Seminole County, Florida is seeking multiple vendors through Request for Proposal RFP-604608-23/LNF to provide comprehensive generator services and repairs for approximately 230 generators across various manufacturers and sizes. The three-year contract will cover routine maintenance and 24-hour emergency service, with vendors responsible for all parts, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and coordination necessary for proper generator functioning. The RFP was released on August 2, 2023, with questions due by September 1, 2023, and proposal submissions required by September 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Evaluation criteria will assess proposals on performance and references (30%), services offered and warranty (30%), and fee structure (40%), with proposals scored on a 0-100 point scale. Contractors must provide detailed pricing proposals including hourly and daily rates for normal business and after-hours emergency repairs, with specific guidelines on shop fees, environmental fees, and materials markup percentages.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must comply with comprehensive insurance requirements, including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Business Auto Policy with specific minimum coverage limits. Contractors are required to use the E-Verify system to confirm employment eligibility and must adhere to federal regulations, particularly those related to FEMA requirements for potential disaster-related funding. The county reserves the right to award to multiple vendors and will select proposals presenting the best overall value. While no specific budget range is provided, the contract allows for a three-year initial term with options for two additional one-year renewals, and the county makes no guarantee of a minimum number of service orders. Contractors will be compensated on a fixed fee basis, with individual Release Orders specifying exact services, delivery dates, and payment amounts.
