About this opportunity
The City of Marietta Board of Lights and Water is requesting proposals for residential sanitation roll carts under RFP-23-48286, with proposals due September 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Purchasing Division, City Hall, 205 Lawrence Street, Marietta, Georgia.
The initial order encompasses approximately 13,500 carts across three sizes: 96-gallon (2,000 units), 64-gallon (11,000 units), and 48-gallon (500 units). Carts must be manufactured through rotational molding of medium-density polyethylene with integrated handles, hinged lids, and 10-inch blow-molded polyethylene wheels. All carts must be fully assembled at delivery, nested, forest green in color with black wheels, and white hot-stamped markings including sequential numbers and the City logo. Addendum No. 1 specifies that the City will accept injection-molded high-density polyethylene carts but will not accept a 35-gallon cart as a substitute for the 48-gallon specification. Wheels and axles must arrive fully assembled; snap-on components are not acceptable.
The contract term is one year with options to extend for three additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. All initial carts must be delivered between contract award and December 31, 2022 based on the contractor's stated delivery schedule. Pricing is quoted F.O.B. City of Marietta, Georgia, on a unit-price-per-cart basis with all shipping, handling, and taxes incorporated. Proposals must include estimated delivery lead times, three municipal references, warranty terms, and occupational tax or business license documentation. Proposals remain valid for 120 days from bid opening or through final shipment, whichever is later.
Evaluation uses a 100-point scale: ability to meet specifications (25 points), cost and lead time (25 points), nestability (25 points), warranty (10 points), cart color (5 points), cart weight (5 points), and experience/references (5 points). Toter LLC was awarded the contract. Questions should be directed to Shelly Drewry at sdrewry@mariettaga.gov. All bidders must sign and include Addendum No. 1 and Addendum No. 2 with their proposals.
