About this opportunity
A Florida county is issuing a Request for Information under a Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Source/Sole Brand for OpenEye CCTV recording and analytics, with responses due November 16, 2026. The RFI determines whether the specified OpenEye product is available from multiple providers or whether an alternative would meet the County's needs. It is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment.
Vendors may submit information on comparable capability or documentation contesting the sole brand designation through the electronic bidding system. The Director of Purchasing alone determines comparability and whether to designate the product as sole source or sole brand, and that decision is not subject to objection, protest, or appeal.
Vendors complete a fourteen-item questionnaire across four categories: Architecture & System Integration, Advanced Analytics & Tracking, IT Management & Security, and Administration & Support. Each item is answered Yes, Partially, or No. The differentiating requirements include hybrid cloud-and-on-premise architecture; vendor-agnostic camera compatibility via RTSP streaming; native Genea access control integration; real-time person-of-interest tracking across legacy and new cameras; built-in License Plate Recognition; hardened Linux-based appliances; Role-Based Access Control; and full manufacturer warranty with dedicated factory technical services. Vendors must identify any requirement their solution does not fully satisfy and describe material differences from the specified OpenEye product, with supporting specifications and documentation.
