About this opportunity
This state and local contracting opportunity is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for the rental, repair, and preventative maintenance services of respiratory and other medical equipment for the Denton State Supported Living Center (SSLC). The successful vendor will be required to provide full-service coverage, including equipment tracking, electrical safety inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair services, on an annual or semi-annual basis. The contract term will be from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025, with two optional one-year renewal periods. Responses are due by August 21, 2024 at 10:30 AM Central Time. Bidders must meet minimum experience and qualification requirements, provide required insurances and bonds, and develop and submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan prior to contract execution.
The IFB has identified probable subcontracting opportunities and established a HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) utilization goal of 21.1%. All respondents, regardless of HUB status, must develop and submit an HSP. The historical spend for these services was $20,000 for the prior year, and the IFB does not specify any set-asides or the incumbent contractor. Funding will be provided through the State of Texas, but the contract does not specify a budget range or potential award value.
