About this opportunity
Broward County Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau is requesting proposals for a Project Specialist supporting United Kingdom and Ireland Travel Trade activities for Fiscal Year 2027 (October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027), with proposals due September 9, 2026. This is an open-end contract with no guaranteed minimum work volume; the County may issue purchase orders as needed or procure services from alternative sources without penalty. No small business enterprise, community business enterprise, or other set-aside applies.
The vendor must identify a Project Specialist and key team members with relevant qualifications, resumes, and certifications, and provide an organizational chart. Core responsibilities include coordinating trade and promotional activities across both regions, acquiring and managing registrations for travel trade events (including TravMedia's International Media Marketplace in March 2027, Virgin Fest in June 2027, Visit USA Roadshows in May 2027, and Ireland Red Cow Event in October 2026), maintaining comprehensive databases of tour operators and travel intermediaries, achieving Lauderdale Loyalist certification, and delivering quarterly research on outbound travel trends and semi-annual audits of Visit Lauderdale's product selling capabilities in UK and Ireland markets. The vendor must conduct detailed post-event reporting on media and trade meetings, outcomes, and action items, with complete accounting of operational and travel expenses. All databases obtained become the property of Visit Lauderdale. The vendor must perform 100 percent of work without subcontracting or outsourcing.
The estimated contract value is $99,900, all-inclusive of vendor expenses. Evaluation criteria include personnel qualifications and relevant experience, detailed project approach and methodology, past performance on similar projects within the preceding three years with evidence of on-time and on-budget completion, current workload and capacity to manage concurrent projects, and ability to meet project-specific time and budget requirements. Vendors must provide at least three references from similar work within the last three years and submit all documentation electronically through BPRO by the closing date and time.
