About this opportunity

The State of Maine's Division of Purchases is requesting bids for printers, warranty, and installation services, with bids due June 1, 2011; the bid has been extended from an earlier deadline.

The procurement follows Maine's standard bidding conditions: award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and total cost. In the event of tie bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering Maine-produced commodities and services. Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item and must include all transportation costs, freight, and delivery charges prepaid at the contractor's expense unless otherwise noted. Bidders should specify terms and cash discount percentages; discounts under 20 days are not considered in contract awards. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine state taxes and must be quoted accordingly.

All deliveries must comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Contractors must furnish items exactly as specified on the Purchase Order; any deviation constitutes grounds for rejection. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, accept individual items, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent unless otherwise specified. Bids must be submitted electronically by the specified closing date and time; late submissions are not accepted. If the contractor defaults, the State reserves the right to procure materials from alternative sources at the contractor's expense.
