About this opportunity
The University of Georgia, a unit of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to serve as Task Order Contractors and Design-Build service providers for small construction projects across the university's facilities. The primary focus of these projects involves utilitarian construction in rural environments, particularly agricultural research settings, with anticipated deliverables including pre-engineered metal buildings, fencing, roads, storage facilities, irrigation systems, farm manager residences, and various out-buildings. Qualified contractors must demonstrate experience in design-build services and utilitarian construction methodologies, with particular emphasis on rural agricultural applications. Interested firms must submit responses via email, with the transmittal letter, table of contents, and tab sheets excluded from the specified page limit. A mandatory pre-submittal conference is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the University of Georgia Office of the Architects for Facilities Planning Conference Room located at 382 East Broad Street, Athens, Georgia 30602, with attendance required for all interested parties. The deadline for proposal submission is December 8, 2014, and documentation from the pre-bid meeting was uploaded to the Georgia Procurement Registry on December 1, 2014.
The procurement opportunity does not identify specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions limiting participation to particular organization types based on the information provided. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed in the documentation. Similarly, no specific contract award values or budget ranges are disclosed in this solicitation. The opportunity requires interested contractors to submit concise, clear, and relevant qualifications statements demonstrating their capability to perform the outlined design-build and task order contracting services. Potential submitters should note that the University of Georgia assumes no liability for costs incurred by firms in preparing and submitting their qualifications responses.
