About this opportunity
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) is seeking bids for a one-year contract to provide preventative and corrective maintenance services on 30 laboratory instruments located at the Central Laboratory at the Deer Island Treatment Plant in Boston, Massachusetts. The required services cover a range of equipment, including gas chromatograph-mass spectrometers, high-performance liquid chromatographs, total organic carbon analyzers, ion chromatographs, purge and trap units, sterilizers, glasswashers, and spectrophotometers. Bidders must provide firm-fixed lump sum prices for the annual preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance services on each instrument, as well as an hourly labor rate and percentage markup for parts for corrective maintenance. The MWRA requires bidders to have experience in maintaining similar laboratory equipment, provide references, and have authorizations from manufacturers. The MWRA reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, either by instrument or for the entire contract. The bid submission deadline is February 15, 2012.
The procurement is classified as a Small Procurement and is restricted for use by the MWRA only. The estimated value of the contract is between $10,000 and $150,000. The MWRA encourages interested vendors to provide complete and accurate information through the "Interested in Bid Partnering?" link. There is no information provided on any set-aside designations, restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, incumbent vendors, or current contractors.
