Prevailing wage requirements apply to task orders exceeding the state threshold.
The anticipated combined contract value over the full term is up to $5 million (excluding New Mexico Gross Receipts Taxes) over up to seven years. Compensation is based on actual hours worked, equipment utilized, or units completed according to proposed unit prices. Bid security equal to at least five percent of the total proposal amount is required. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the task order price, are required for individual task orders exceeding $25,000. The contractor must maintain general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, workers' compensation insurance as required by law, and automobile liability insurance of $1 million combined single limit per occurrence and $2 million aggregate.
Preference factors are available for Los Alamos County-incorporated businesses with principal offices in Los Alamos County, New Mexico-resident businesses, Native American resident businesses, resident veteran businesses, and Native American resident veteran businesses (the latter three limited to firms with annual gross revenues not exceeding $6 million).
