About this opportunity

The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration is requesting proposals from SBR Master Contractors for Nutanix server hardware and associated services under PORFP V-HQ-26067-IT, with proposals due March 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET. This procurement is restricted to Small Business Reserve (SBR) Master Contractors previously awarded contracts under the Hardware and Associated Equipment and Service 2012 Master Contract 060B2490022 — the eligibility filter that gates participation.

The scope covers expansion of the Nutanix system, moving data storage and support infrastructure from MAA to MVA. The deliverable comprises two NX-8155-G9 nodes, each with dual Intel Xeon-Silver 4514Y processors, 64GB total DDR5 memory, 7.68TB NVMe SSD storage per node, and associated networking components; Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure Ultimate Software License and Nutanix Cloud Manager Pro Software License, both with 36-month terms; 24/7 production-level hardware support for 36 months; and infrastructure deployment services for on-premises implementation using Nutanix AHV hypervisor. Bidders must be authorized Nutanix resellers and may be required to submit Letters of Authorization from the manufacturer. Delivery is due April 1, 2026. Place of performance is the Motor Vehicle Administration facility at One Orchard Road, Glen Burnie, Maryland 21060.

Award will be made to the responsive and responsible contractor offering the most advantageous proposal considering adherence to technical specifications, ability to meet the April 1 delivery deadline, and cost. Pricing must remain valid for at least 90 days after the bid due date. Questions are due March 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET to David Peters at dpeters@mdot.maryland.gov. Addendum No. 1, issued February 25, 2026, modified invoicing instructions and basis for award; bidders must acknowledge receipt of the addendum. Bidders must also submit a completed Small Business Reserve Affidavit and Mercury Affidavit with their proposals.
