About this opportunity
The Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida is requesting bids for moving services under ITB FM 75-26, with proposals due September 16, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and questions due September 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. The County seeks to establish an Active Qualified Listing of licensed contractors for on-as-needed office furniture and equipment moves within Okaloosa County.
The contractor must be a Florida Limited Liability Company authorized to do business in Florida. Scope includes loading, transporting, unloading, disassembly, reassembly, packing, and property protection during moves between County facilities. Work is performed primarily during normal County business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), though some projects may require after-hours, weekend, or holiday scheduling. Contractors must submit hourly rates for regular hours, overtime hours, weekend hours, and holiday hours; all rates must include labor, supervision, equipment, vehicles, tools, fuel, and travel within the County. Contractors may identify minimum service-call charges in their proposals. Placement on the Active Qualified Listing does not guarantee minimum work volume. Individual work assignments will be awarded based on best value, scheduling fit, and project requirements, with County departments evaluating quotations from listed contractors.
The contract term is three years with two optional one-year renewals contingent on mutual written agreement. Compensation is based on actual billable hours authorized and performed at rates established in the contractor's proposal. The contractor must maintain Workers' Compensation insurance at state statutory limits, Commercial General Liability of $1 million per occurrence, and Business Automobile Liability of $1 million per accident. Federal compliance requirements include E-Verify enrollment, drug-free workplace certification, debarment and suspension compliance, and Title VI nondiscrimination provisions.
