About this opportunity
The City of Milton in Santa Rosa County, Florida, is conducting an Invitation to Bid (ITB-2025-03) for a Materials Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Project. The procurement seeks the supply of specific natural gas distribution materials, including 28,500 feet of 2-inch DriscoPlex MDPE pipe, 7,500 feet of 4-inch DriscoPlex MDPE pipe, and 10,000 feet of additional DriscoPlex MDPE pipe. All materials must strictly adhere to ASTM D3350 material grades for SDR 11 yellow PE2708 gas pipe, with the majority of pipes to be delivered in coils and approximately 10% in stick pipe format. The delivery will be made FOB Destination to a laydown yard in the City of Milton, with offloading to be conducted in conjunction with Milton personnel, and delivery hours restricted to 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The City reserves the right to adjust procurement quantities based on actual needs and to reject shipments that do not meet specified packaging and physical requirements. Materials will be subject to a one-year warranty from the date of receipt. The bid was posted on May 1, 2025, with a due date of March 18, 2025.
The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. No information is provided about incumbent vendors, existing infrastructure requirements, or specific integration needs. The document does not specify a precise budget range or total contract value, though it indicates flexibility in potential purchase quantities. The procurement appears to be a straightforward materials acquisition for municipal natural gas infrastructure expansion or maintenance. The City of Milton maintains significant discretion in the procurement process, including the ability to modify quantities and reject non-compliant shipments. While the solicitation provides detailed technical specifications for the DriscoPlex MDPE pipes, it does not outline comprehensive evaluation criteria beyond the material and performance specifications detailed in the bid document.
