About this opportunity
Granite School District is requesting bids on the design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of custom magnetic map displays for high schools under IFB AP27-612, with bids due October 30, 2026. The district anticipates awarding a single contract and may purchase up to nine displays over three to five years, though quantities and configurations vary based on individual school needs.
The initial project requires one display measuring 192 inches wide by 96 inches high, incorporating Utah, United States, and world maps at specified dimensions. The display shall use a steel-faced composite panel or equivalent magnetic-receptive material with 3mm nominal thickness and adhesive-backed printable vinyl map graphics with matte overlaminate resistant to fading and scratching. The display recognizes graduating students by allowing them to place magnetic flags or markers on colleges and universities where they have been accepted. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, site measurements, surface preparation, delivery, installation, mounting hardware, and debris removal.
The initial contract term is one year with options to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. Bidders must submit itemized pricing for the base project with line items limited to two decimal places; failure to provide required base project pricing renders the bid nonresponsive.
The contractor must carry workers' compensation insurance; commercial general liability of no less than $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate; and commercial automobile liability of $1 million per occurrence if vehicles are used in service delivery. The contractor must register with and participate in E-Verify and certify non-debarment status. Payment is due within thirty days of correct invoice receipt. All questions must be posted in the Utah Public Procurement Place. The district retains all ownership of deliverables as work made for hire and reserves the right to purchase greater or fewer quantities based on actual needs and available funding. Utah Code 63G-6a-1203 renders void certain contractual provisions restricting governmental immunity, requiring indemnification, mandating binding arbitration, subjecting contracts to non-Utah jurisdiction, or requiring insurance beyond state risk manager requirements.
