About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking a qualified general contractor to perform structural maintenance on the Lime Parking Garage, a five-story concrete parking structure supporting the Disney Springs area in Orange County, Florida. The primary scope of work involves comprehensive crack sealing on all garage ramps, with the contractor responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and supplies to complete the repairs. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. located at 1540 East Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL, with all potential bidders required to RSVP through PlanetBids by October 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. The project requires work to be completed in phases, with a critical emphasis on minimizing disruptions to garage operations and maintaining maximum capacity throughout the repair process. Vendors must register on the PlanetBids platform to submit questions and bids electronically, with bid documents available for review and submission through this electronic procurement system.
The procurement includes specific preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses as part of the district's "BuyLocalNow" initiative. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated in the provided documentation, the project involves comprehensive structural maintenance of a critical parking infrastructure. Bidders must demonstrate qualifications as a general contractor capable of executing complex parking garage repair work, with specific attention to crack sealing techniques and traffic management. The district's vendor portal offers additional features including new vendor registration, contract management, and insurance verification capabilities. Interested contractors will need to navigate the electronic bidding process through PlanetBids, which is free and provides access to bid opportunities across multiple governmental entities. The procurement appears designed to encourage local business participation while securing a highly qualified contractor for this specialized maintenance project.
