The scope includes removal and disposal of existing metal roofing, deteriorated insulation, and vapor barriers, with installation of new standing seam metal roofing (basis of design: Nucor CFR with three-coat fluoropolymer finish; approved equals include Central States Manufacturing, MetlSpan, Butler Manufacturing Company, and Ceco), insulation achieving minimum R-30 value per ASTM C991 glass-fiber-blanket with vapor-retarder facing, and vapor barriers to meet current building and energy codes. A preliminary roofing conference and 72-hour advance notice to the Owner are required before removal begins. Roofing demolition and reconstruction must be completed and made weather-tight within the same day. The scope includes three additive alternates for additional roof areas and a $4,000 allowance for wet insulation removal and replacement.
