About this opportunity
The City of South Salt Lake is seeking to establish a Landscape Maintenance Services Pool through a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) procurement process. The solicitation aims to create a pool of qualified landscape service providers who can be retained on an as-needed basis for various municipal landscape maintenance tasks. Specific services include turf treatment using herbicides and fertilizers, weed control, tree care, landscape material installation, irrigation system management, and solid waste removal. Proposals will be accepted until September 5, 2025, at 3:00 pm MST, with submission options including in-person delivery to the City Recorders office, email to aandrus@sslc.gov, or submission through the Utah Public Procurement Portal (UP3). Proposers must demonstrate capabilities across one or more of the specified service categories, with the selected pool of vendors remaining valid for five years before requiring re-qualification. Candidates will be evaluated based on their technical expertise, range of services, and ability to respond to municipal landscape maintenance needs efficiently and effectively.
The procurement does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. No incumbent vendors are mentioned in the available documentation, and there are no detailed references to specific integration requirements with existing infrastructure or technology. While the solicitation does not provide a specific budget range or award value, the procurement is structured as an on-call services pool, suggesting flexible, project-based compensation. The geographic scope encompasses South Salt Lake City, with potential service areas potentially extending to Salt Lake County and Scipio Town. Interested vendors should carefully review the attached RFQ packet (1-RFQ-Packet-Parks Landscape Maintenance.pdf) for comprehensive details about qualifications, submission requirements, and potential service expectations. Vendors selected for the pool will be positioned to provide responsive, as-needed landscape maintenance services for municipal projects and requirements.
