About this opportunity

Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey, is issuing Request for Proposals (RFP No. R-107) for Independent Auditing Services through a Fair & Open procurement process in accordance with New Jersey State law. The College seeks qualified certified public accounting firms to conduct comprehensive annual audits of its financial statements for fiscal years 2026 and 2027, with an optional extension for 2028. The audit scope encompasses financial statements prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, Federal Financial Assistance audits per OMB Circular A-133, State of New Jersey Financial Assistance audits per New Jersey OMB Circular 04-04, and enrollment audits per New Jersey Council of County Colleges Guidelines. Proposers must submit flat-fee quotations for each fiscal year covering all audit services, including financial statement audits, management letters, federal and state compliance reporting, and enrollment audits, with approximately 25 copies of each audit report required. Proposals will be evaluated based on understanding of requested services and proposal completeness, project approach and methodology, experience and qualifications of the firm and staff, cost, and references, with the College reserving the right to conduct interviews with highest-ranked proposers before final selection. Electronic proposals must be submitted through the Euna-Bonfire platform at https://bergenbids.com by 11:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with public opening and reading via Webex. The deadline for submitting questions regarding the RFP is Friday, April 3, 2026, at 12:00 noon, and the Board of Trustees is anticipated to award the contract at its May 5, 2026 meeting, with contract commencement anticipated for late May 2026.

The procurement is being conducted as a Fair & Open process with no specific set-aside designations mentioned in the available documentation; however, all responsible firms are encouraged to submit proposals and must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. No incumbent vendor or current contractor information has been identified in the available documents. The contract will be for a two-year initial term with the option for one additional year at the sole discretion of the College, though no specific budget range or award value has been disclosed in the public notices. Proposers must register and establish an account on the Euna-Bonfire electronic platform prior to submission, and all risks of non-delivery of proposals submitted through the website remain the sole responsibility of the submitting firm. No proposer may withdraw its proposal within sixty days after proposals are received and opened by the College. If a contract is awarded, the award will be made through a formal Resolution of the Board of Trustees, and the College reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals submitted and to waive any informalities in the best interest of the institution.
