About this opportunity
Centralia Community College is requesting quotations for HVAC and chiller maintenance and repair services under RFQ B53546, with quotations due August 14, 2026. The contract is temporary, extending only until the new JPMC facility for Region 8 becomes operational, at which point the college's climate-control needs will transition to that location.
The scope covers ongoing maintenance, repair, and operational support for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and chiller systems at the college facility. The RFQ establishes labor rates, material costs, service call fees, and emergency response provisions.

The State of Illinois Standard Terms and Conditions (Version 23.2) govern the contract. Vendors must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and $2 million annual aggregate; automobile liability of at least $1 million per occurrence; and workers' compensation insurance. All vendors must pay prevailing wages for applicable HVAC and building-services categories and comply with a $15 minority contractor initiative fee for contracts of $1,000 or more. Vendors must obtain all necessary licenses and permits at their own expense and are subject to background checks as deemed necessary by the State. The State retains sole ownership of all work product and reserves the right to terminate for convenience with thirty days' notice or immediately for cause. All disputes are filed exclusively with the Illinois Court of Claims. Payment follows the State Prompt Payment Act, with invoicing deadlines of July 31 for services rendered through June 30. Records must be retained for three years, or five years if federal funds are used.
