About this opportunity

The Genesee Intermediate School District is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement and installation of audio-visual and technology equipment for the new Field House facility at Genesee Career Institute located at G-5081 Torrey Road in Flint, Michigan. The Base Bid requires vendors to supply and install a complete technology system for the Field House Gym, including a projector system with a minimum of 12,000 lumens, a motorized projection screen of at least 165 inches diagonal, a wireless microphone system with four units, dual-zone speakers, a wall-mounted control system, wall plate inputs, a wall-mounted network rack, and a 65-inch television with flat wall mount for the Field House Lobby. The Mandatory Bid 2 requires bidders to replicate the gym specifications with dual projectors and dual motorized screens on opposing walls with independent control capability. The RFP also requests line item pricing for alternative projector specifications at 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000 lumens to allow the District to evaluate cost variations. Sealed written bids are due on March 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at 2413 West Maple Avenue, Flint, Michigan 48507, and must be submitted in one original and two copies plus an electronic copy on the District's Bid Form. Bids will be opened at 2:00 PM on March 11, 2021, with the GISD Board of Education anticipating a bid award at its regular meeting on March 23, 2021, followed by purchase order issuance shortly thereafter. Interested parties may schedule a walk-through by contacting Scott Hartman at shartman@geneseeisd.org. All bid prices must include complete delivered costs covering labor, equipment, materials, shipping, insurance, and applicable services with a specified anticipated delivery date, and prices must remain firm for ninety days from the bid opening date.

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid or one month's estimated service cost (whichever is greater), and three mandatory notarized compliance documents: a Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement pursuant to Public Act 232 of 2004, a Vendor Certification attesting non-compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act under Public Act 517 of 2012, and a School Safety Affidavit certifying that all personnel working on the project comply with Michigan Code of Laws sections 380.1230, 380.1230a, 380.1230c, 380.1230d, and 380.1230g and have not been convicted of listed offenses. The awarded bidder must submit a Performance, Labor and Materials Bond equal to the final contract amount, and all work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA requirements, with all materials certified as asbestos-free and lead-free. The District is exempt from Michigan Sales and Use Taxes, and the vendor shall be responsible for any sales or use taxes on components purchased. No specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, incumbent vendors, or budget ranges are identified in the RFP documentation. The District does not specify integration requirements with existing infrastructure or technology systems in the provided documents.
