About this opportunity

The City of Bryan, Texas is requesting bids on generator maintenance and repair services under IFB 26R0026236, with bids due September 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST and a pre-bid site visit scheduled for August 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM CST.

The scope encompasses quarterly, annual, and triennial preventive maintenance plus 24/7 emergency repair response with a four-hour maximum response time for one 600 kilowatt diesel-fueled Generac generator with an ASCO transfer switch located at Bryan Building A (2571 North Earl Rudder Fwy). Quarterly services include inspections of enclosures, batteries, drive belts, coolant, fuel, exhaust, air cleaners, electrical systems, and automatic transfer switches. Annual services add oil, filter, fuel filter, air filter, and spark plug replacement; coolant concentration checks; fuel polishing and water removal; automatic transfer switch servicing by factory-authorized representatives; and a two-hour load bank test at 100% load with live transfer testing. Triennial services include replacement of thermostats, belts, fuel lines, coolant hoses, automatic transfer switch internal cleaning and thermography scanning, and cooling system flushing. The contractor must submit written estimates within five business days of request and provide an inspection schedule within 30 days of purchase order receipt. Pricing is structured around labor rates for Master Technicians, Technicians, Apprentices, and Project Managers at normal hours, after-hours, holiday, and holiday after-hours rates, plus tiered material markups by parts cost and separate markups for supplies and rental equipment. All work must be guaranteed against defects for one year, materials must be new and UL-listed, and the contractor must maintain appropriate licensing, factory training certifications, and adequate insurance coverage.

The anticipated contract award date is September 8, 2026. Questions are due August 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST, with DPS planning to post responses by September 1, 2026. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1 prior to bid submission.
