About this opportunity

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is requesting bids for event tables—150 six-foot and 150 eight-foot classroom tables, 100 six-by-thirty-foot and 100 eight-by-thirty-foot banquet tables, 100 sixty-six-inch round tables, 100 feet of furniture glides, and transport carts—with bids due November 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. and questions due October 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Georgia residents receive reciprocal preference as defined by state law, provided bidders maintain a physical place of business with at least one employee in Georgia.

All tables must feature ABS plastic textured tabletops in black (except sixty-six-inch round tables in grey), steel folding frames, and specified maximum weights (50 to 75 pounds depending on type). Tables are available in 18", 30", 6', and 8' sizes; wishbone legs are required but arched legs are acceptable alternatives. Bidders must submit physical samples—one 18" table and one 30" table in either 6' or 8' length—no later than November 1, 2022. Delivery must occur by the end of February 2023 on an F.O.B. dock basis, with the successful bidder responsible for removal of packaging and disposal of dunnage. This is a one-time purchase.

The Authority will evaluate bids 60 percent on technical merit—general qualifications, relevant experience, aesthetic appeal, reliability, responsiveness, and references—and 40 percent on cost, including predicted costs, warranties, and payment terms. Payment discounts exceeding 5 percent will not be considered. The Authority intends to award within one week of bid opening.

A strict communication restriction is in effect: bidders may not communicate with Authority staff or officials except through the Purchasing Office or for formal question submission. Violations may result in bid rejection. MityLite Inc. has been selected as the Apparent Awardee. Successful vendors will receive a Sales and Use Tax Certificate of Exemption.
